Use FADE Tracks to Create a More Dynamic Custom Playlist

We have 2 different types of tracks on ClickMix:

MIXABLE tracks and FADE tracks.

These icons are how you can identify a MIXABLE or FADE track on ClickMix

What is a Mixable Track?

A MIXABLE track is 32-count phrased and mixable with other mixable tracks. They are designed to create a seamless, non-stop transition. The beginning and end of mixable songs are seamlessly beat-matched for a smooth and interrupted transition.

This is what a MIXABLE track looks and sounds like, going from one track to the next.

What is a Fade Track?

A FADE track, also commonly referred to as a "Radio Version" track, means the tracks are not 32-count phrased. They are typically shorter in length and are usually exact replicas of the version of the song you would hear on the radio. These tracks start without a long intro and simply fade out at the end or just end abruptly.

This is what a FADE track/Radio Version looks and sounds like:

Why Would I Use a Fade Track?

There are many ways you could use a fade track in your custom mix!

Fade tracks are ideal for classes that do not require a non-stop mix. Because fade tracks are not 32-count, you get the bridges, peaks, and nuances of the song - allowing for a more dynamic playlist. This allows the freestyle instructor to choreograph to the lyrics and melody of the song instead of being restricted to the counts.

Also, our vocalists and producers are the absolute best in the business. We can guarantee that our radio versions really DO sound identical to the original song!

Here are some examples of class formats where a fade track would be appropriate and songs from our library that you could use for each:

Where Can I Find Fade Tracks?

When you are on the ClickMix section of the website, we indicate if a track is MIXABLE or FADE under track "TYPE." We also have a specific section on the ClickMix homepage called RADIO VERSIONS which is where you can find all of the latest fade tracks we have added to our library.

When you are browsing in the app, all of the fade tracks have the fade icon next to them and/or will say "Radio Version" after the track title so you know.
