This month’s new music is all about owning it—whether that refers to your Gucci cowboy hat, your juice, or your darkest tendencies. Allow these lovable bad boys and girls of country, rock, pop, and rap to inspire you to reach your fitness goals one way or another:
“Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X is a song that launched a thousand memes. Just last year, Lil Nas X had dropped out of college to pursue a music career, which was discouraged by nearly everyone around him, especially his parents. He wrote “Old Town Road” when he “felt like he was out of options” and released it independently in December 2018. Since then, the song has gone viral and to the top of the charts, thanks in part to social video sharing app TikTok, remixes with huge stars like Billy Ray Cyrus, and a music video featuring Chris Rock and other big names. The song’s catchy tune makes it a natural fitness track, but our remix at 130 BPM transforms it into the perfect step, cycle, or boot camp song.
This pop-trap hit was released in March of this year as the fifth single off Billie Eilish's debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The song is a low-key banger, with dark, mischievous imagery of blood and bruises contrasting delightfully with an upbeat, poppy chorus. Our Electro Rock Remix hits even harder than the original and is ideal for step, cycle, kickboxing, or sports conditioning classes.
“Talk” was released in February of this year as the first single off Khalid’s second studio album, Free Spirit. The slick R&B track about the beginning honeymoon stages of a relationship became Khalid's fifth top-10 hit in the U.S. Our Future Bass Remix takes the song and amps up the energy to 130 BPM, suitable for a step, cycle, barre, or aqua fitness class.
“Juice” by singer and rapper Lizzo was released in January as the lead single off her new album, Cuz I Love You. The song provides a refreshing jolt of self-esteem to anyone who hears it, and the witty lyrics are absolutely dripping with body positivity. Our Disco House Remix takes an already retro song to a new realm, transporting you back in time for your next step, cycle, barre, or aqua fitness class.
“All You Need to Know” is a collaboration between American DJ Gryffin and DJ duo SLANDER, topped off with the powerful voice of Swedish singer-songwriter Calle Lehmann. The result is an entrancing instrumental sound with inventive bass lines and an uplifting message. Our Drum & Bass Remix transforms the track into the perfect anthem for cardio, kickboxing, or boot camp.
Pink has been making hits since the ‘90s, and her edge still gleams in her latest song, “Hustle,” off her eighth album, Hurts 2B Human, released in April of this year. It’s hard to believe anyone would try to hustle Pink, but just in case, the song makes it clear that messing with her would be a terrible decision. Our Future Stomp Mix provides the necessary kick for step, kickboxing, or boot camp.
The iconic Eminem song “Lose Yourself” from the soundtrack of 2002’s 8 Mile holds up 17 years later as an anthem for pushing through buckets of self-doubt and riding the wave of your own fear. Our Melodic Trap Remix is a supercharged version of the track at 170 BPM, ideal for kickboxing and cardio.
